The Udzungwa Mountain National Park, which is 1990 sq.kms. Is the first terrestrial National park in Tanzania. It is well known for its biologically diverse forest, with approximately 20 – 30% out of 200 animals and plant species that grow here not found anywhere in the world. Still it is really beautiful place for hiking. It is one of the top ten forests for bird conservation in Africa. You will never forget standing at the base of a 180m waterfall or jumping through one of the smaller (30m or so!) falls into a plunge pool for a swim. The hike can be done in half a day but we suggest you get the most out of your time in Udzungwa and hike up in the morning, have lunch and then come down. Wildlife: Variety of animal species can be found here, including water buffalo, elephants, and full of reptiles and snakes and more.
DAY 3: MIKUMI TO DAR ES SALAAM
After an early breakfast, you will proceed to Mikumi for either another morning game drive or visit a small Maasai village until noon when you start driving back to Dar es Salaam for overnight
